First Reason you should hire WFS to manage your 401k or
403b:
Because if YOU are not managing the assets, then NO ONE is
managing the assets. Your company can't. Your administrator can't.
Sure, they can give you unbiased information about each
fund. But they can't and the won't tell you which funds to pick.
If you have been in all stock funds during the recent
bear market, then you have LOST BIG money. Some people joke ... "my 401k
is now a 201k". Although it's funny, it's only funny in a bad way.
WFS would not allow this to happen to you. We will
diversify you properly.
You ask, "Well, then why not just put 10% of my assets in
each fund available to me?"
Because that is NOT proper asset allocation. Many
funds invest in the same stocks and/or bonds. Most people think they are
diversified, but aren't.
Second Reason
In the late ‘90s it was easy to make money. Anyone could
pick a few winners and ride the wave of rising stock prices to financial
freedom. Today, the wave is crushing you. You need help and WFS is here to
help you.
This is where WFS steps in. Our goal is to help you plan
for your retirement. As mentioned before, your company can’t help you. WFS is
a Registered Investment Advisor. We have the experience, and expertise to
answer your questions and help set you on the correct path once again.
We understand how the mutual fund industry works. We
not only compare a funds investments, but also the fees. (If you want to
learn more about how fees work, take our Mutual Fund Quiz)
We decipher the Mutual Fund industry for our clients.
We know the difference between a "Balanced Fund", an "Asset Manager Fund", a
"Capital & Income Fund", and an "Equity & Income Fund". When the job calls
for a plumber, call a plumber. But this job calls for a professional money
manager. This job calls for WFS.
Third Reason
Getting WFS on your TEAM is so important that the U.S.
Government will actually give you a tax break.
That's right. You can pay the WFS fee directly out of
your 401k or 403b plan. Some plans may need to be amended by your employer
to allow WFS to automatically deduct fees. But a small hassle is worth it
because once complete, you will be paying the small WFS fee with TAX-FREE
dollars.
Think of it this way. Money that goes into your 401k
or 403b goes into your retirement fund PRE-TAX. If you pay the fee
directly, then you are using PRE-TAX dollars to pay the fee. In effect the
U.S. Government is paying for 30-40% of the WFS fee.
Whether you look at it as a 30-40% discount. Or you
look at it as the Uncle Sam giving you a tax break. It's all the same.
YOU WIN.
